Important Advising Tools

Section Tally - look up course offerings in a given semester; search by "attribute" to list courses that satisfy specific general education requirements (i.e., artistic & creative experience [ACE], multicultural [MCUL], etc.); search by professor, level, etc.

Banner Self-Service - access your academic record, i.e., grades, transcript, schedule

Course Equivalents at Rowan for NJ Community College Courses - An equivalency is a determination by both the community college and the university that a specific course(s) at one institution is equivalent in content and credit to a specific course(s) at the other institution. By comparing equivalencies, official transcripts can be easily evaluated to grant transfer credit, which apply toward degree requirements at Rowan University.

AP Equivalents - AP credit is available for grades of 4 or higher, subject to ongoing departmental reevaluation. AP credits that are accepted are recorded as transfer credit (TC) on Rowan's records, and figure in the total number of credits earned toward graduation, but not in the GPA.  Departments reserve the right to reevaluate the content of exams and to change the assignment of credit and course equivalencies.

Approval to take courses at another institution - To enroll and transfer courses from another institution, you must complete this form, and obtain the approval of both your academic adviser and department chair.

GRAD - Graduation Requirements and Advising Database (GRAD) is an online system which can be accessed through Self Service Banner at any time, 24/7.  GRAD also features a GPA Calculator that shows your current GPA and helps you to compute desired GPA. You can find the link to GRAD in your Banner self-service account under Student Records.
