All students are assigned a faculty advisor. Your department secretary can help identify who your faculty advisor is. In addition to a discipline-specific advisor, Freshmen are also assigned to the College Program Advisor who is located in the Dean’s suite of offices, Rowan Hall 106.

How do I know the prerequisites and minimum grade requirements for a course? |
Go to Section Tally: search for the course you want click on the CRN number(takes you to class schedule listing for the course) click on the course name (takes you to detailed class information) Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page where you will find course pre-reqs, and minimum grade requirements

How do I get a tutor? |
Tutoring is free for Rowan students. The Rowan Success Network (RSN) gives you an easy way to schedule tutoring appointments. Access RSN at www.rowan.edu/rsn, and login to view your dashboard. More information is available at: http://www.rowan.edu/studentaffairs/asc/tutoring/request_tutor/.

What is Section Tally? |
Section Tally is used to look up courses offered in a given semester. You can sort by college, department, subject, professor, and attribute. Searching by attribute allows you to find courses that meet specific general education requirements.

How do I drop a course? |
Students may drop courses during the Drop/Add period through Banner. No forms or approvals are required. When students drop a course during the Drop/Add period, neither the course nor the drop will be recorded on the transcript. Students are not financially responsible for a course that is dropped. After the Drop/Add period, students must submit a Student Request to Drop/Add a Course After the Drop/Add Period. This form requires signatures from professor, department chair, Dean, bursar and Registrar. Approved requests after the drop/add period will be accepted by the Registrar up to two weeks following the end of the drop/add period. Check the Registrar’s webpage for this date each semester.

Can I take courses at a community college over the summer or winter break? |
With approval of your department chair and advisor, you can enroll in and transfer courses from another institution. You must complete an Approval to Take Courses at Another Institution form. Be sure to review the equivalents resource page, www.rowan.edu/provost/registrar/courseequiv.html, to make sure the course credits will transfer. You are also responsible for obtaining a transcript with final grade and submitting to the Registrar.
